The Addington District Band held its first practice this week, and under the supervision of Mr Thorn, the proposed members put up a good performance. Mr C. D. Morris, president, addressed the players, and congratulated them on the lino start they had made, and urged that if they kept together and practiced they have the nucleus of a firstclass band.
