YOUTHFUL BRIDE.
A thirteen-year-old girl, Marie -A. Raviele, the youngest applicant for ■ a marriage license ever recorded in New \ York city, recently appeared at the \ City Clerk's office with her fiance, Joseph Rubino, twenty-one years old, and obtained a license to marry. When; the-little girl, in short skirts and pigtails, appeared before the city clerk as a prospective bride, that official was dumbfounded. The couple, however, produced a document, 'signed by the girl's parents and attested before•'< a notary, giving permission for her -:to : wed. The clerk was still doubtful, believing that more than the parent's -consent might be necessary in a ease of such tender years. He called up the Corporation Counsel's office, and wastold that the consent of the parents was sufficient in any age under eighteen. The license was therefore granted. Rubino is unable to reakl or write : and had to make his mark instead of signing his name. Both the young man and bis youthful bride-to-be were bora in Italy.
