Tlie Joan Craig, with the Lyttelton portion of her timber cargo, is expected to leave Wei* lington for Lyttelton to-day. The Ngatoro is expected at Wellington tomorrow from Napier, and is to be placed on the patent slip. The Nerehana arrived at Lyttelton from Napier this morning for Homeward loading. It is expected that the Kia Ora will'leave Wellington to-day for Lyttelton. From here she goes on to Duncdin to complete discharge. The Kia Ora will then load Homeward cargo, at Oamaru, Timau, Bluff, Napier, Whangarei, and Auckland, from which port she sails finally for Hull and London on June 16. The Clan Matheson, running under the charter ot Mr G. H. Scales, left Newcastle on Wednesday last for London, after taking in a quantity of bunker coal. The vessel loaded wool and general cargo at southern ports in the Dominion and at Wellington, and left there on May 3. She goes Home via Suez. The Westmeath now loading at Pi.cton for West of England ports, will visit Timaru, Lyttelton, Waitara, and Wellington for loading purposes. She is fixed to leave Wellington for Avonmouth via Las Palmas on May 28. The. Norfolk will be in Port on Monday morning from Waitara. The Westmeath is delayed owing to heavy rain at Ticton. It is doubtful whether site will reach Timaru till Tuesday, and consequently she will not reach Lyttelton before Thursday. . '
The Kowhai is expected to arrive at Dun-, edih on Wednesday from Greymouth, and after completing her discharge she will take on board a quantity of stores and equipment for a party of northern whalers, who will proceed to tlie Campbell Islands to engage in whaling. On her return trip the Kowhai .will bring back a cargo of oil. .... N.Z. SHIPPING CO. The Tongariro, now discharging at Auckland from London, is due in Wellington'about 25th inst. ..The Kakaia, .homeward bouiid, arrived at Monte Video on the 14th inst. Ill' continuation of her voyage fr.om St, John (Canada); the Kia Ora was to leave Wellington to-day for Lyttelton.
