BLANKET CAUSES THE TROUBLE* By Cable.—Press Association. —-Copyright* (Received May 14, 9.45 a.m.) , MELBOURNE, May 14.
An attempt to introduce a motion for adjournment to discuss the tariff Question, led to a scene in the Federal House.
Anticipating an all-night sitting, blankets were distributed on the Ministerial side.
One of these was captured for a sleeping Oppositionist, and a wild scrimmiage occurred fior its recapture, lasting a considerable time. This was followed by two members coming to blows, but they were dragged apart. t
Others were dragged from their re.cumbent positions on the seats or knocked over in the struggle. Order was eventually restored, the Deputy-Speaker shouting that he trusted honourable members would remember they were in Parliament.
