"SHOCKED AND AMAZED."
To the Editor of THE SUN,
Sir, —I was absolutely shocked and amazed to see in your issue of May 12 that an avowed agnostic has - joined the Y.M.C.A. It was bad enough for some of their '' flying teams' ' to assume the un-British names of French aeronauts, who,' for all they know to
the contrary, may be anti-clericals and infidels. The question is, why. has your correspondent "Sun Worshipper'? joined the Y.M.C.A.? One can only assume that he has joined with the questionable purpose of either espionage, or, with the hope that he, with others like himself (for others of a like ilk have no doubt joined)j will cause the disintegration of the association. I myself, with others over whom I have influence, have decided that until the association purges itself Of its, undesirable elements, we will keep aloof and watch" more in sorrow than anger.—l am, etc., AMAZED AND INDIGNANT. ,?■
