With banners flying and bands playing, thousands of suffragists from every quarter of the United States held a demonstration y estierday. A chorus, comprising 1000, women,, robed in white, sang "The March of the Women," composed ■by Dr. Ethel Smyth (England). A great meeting was subsequently held, at which a resolution was passed demanding the passage of the suffrage measure now before Congress.
