HORSE SALE.
On Saurday 105 horses were yard«d at H. Matson and Co.'s weekly horse sale. The entry was very mixed. Good working draughts were much in request,. and useful hacks and harness horses sold freely. Among the sales made were the following: —Account W. Tubman (Belfast), draught gelding four years £B4 10/-, five-year-old gelding £l2, five-year-old gelding £l2, four-year-old filly £l2, three-year-old pony £10; account E. J. Jeltyll, six-year-old hack £8 10/-, nine-year-old hack £7 10/-; account Thos. Fraser (Rangiora), five-year-old -harness gelding 1 £l4 10/-; account P. H. Johnson (Mount Torlesse), aged gelding £11; account A. Budge (Waddington), seven-year-old harness do £9 15/-; account J. Burrowes (Kirwee), eight-year-old. gelding £2l 10s; four-year-old mare £l7, aged gelding £l3, do £B, do £6 10/t; account Fendalton client, six-year-old gelding £33 10/-, seven-year-old do £25; account J. Clark (St Albans), horse, trap, and harness £18;. account City Council, 3 aged geldings at £l6 10/-, £ls, and £l3; other hacks and harness horses sold at from £4 to £ll for fair sorts, and down to £1 for crocks.
