In the case against Alfred Trevail Robinson, who was arrested in Sydney and brought to Auckland to answer a charge that he had committed a brench of the Bankruptcy Act, the Crown Prosecutor stated that the accountant employed by the Official Assignee, after going through the bankrupt's books, repo*fce'd that the charge could*.not. be supported by As things w6re, lie said, when the, bankrupt left for Sydney the Official Assignee was perfectly justified in having him brought back; but when the estate was thoroughly investigated and an explanation obtained from the bankrupt, it was found that the business was' not insolvent. It was further ascertained that the bankrupt was not the owner of the business, as another person, who had appeared as a creditor, really had a greater interest in the business than Robinson. He asked that the charge be withdrawn, to which the. Court agreed.
