Y.M.C.A. AERONAUTICS.

THE MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN.

A great burst of speed has been shown by-the ''flying squadron," and Mr A. Wv Jameson should very shortly be ranked;as a first-class "pilot." The squadron leads in' the membership c&mpaign i 38 members, although they are none too secure, as the '' Aerobus,'' Mr W. A. Hislop in. command, is in the running with 33 members secured. The other machines are for the present very much in the rear, the only creditable performance being that put up by the 1 ' Bleriot,'' this team having secured 10 members in the last two days, making their total at noon to-day, 19.

' The campaign was to have concluded on/Saturday evening, but has now been extended to Monday evening, when Mr Wm. .Goss, president, and Mrs Goss will be "at home" to members, and it is hoped that by then the 500 new members will have been secured.

Mr;J. Harry Lang, of Hyderabad, is

to take tea with the members on Friday. Mr Lang is the Australasian representative of the Y.M.C.A., and he will have a few remarks to make to the campaigning 4 'aviators" and those who are interested in the foreign work of the association.
