ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
FOUND DEAD.
Freti Agsocia&ion. NELSON, May 7. An unidentified body of a man was found to-day near the Matakitaki Rrver, Murchison (Buller Valley), having. evidently been lying where it was found for some, time. A poison bottle was found beside the remains.
DEATH ENSUES. DUNEDIN, May 8. Alexander Smith, who was injured in a motor cycle collision on the main road near Allanton on April 26, died in the hospital this morning. M 'Donald has recovered. Smith was a married znan, with one child.
A FATAL FALL. INVERCARGILL, May 8
Edward J. Cuckow, a railway guard, while taking part in a hunt at Otautau, was thrown from his horse and sustained concussion of the brain. He died this morning. Deceased was married, and leaves a wife and three children.
A MOTOR COLLISION. A motor collision occurred near Dunsandel last night, between a motor-car and a motor-cycle, with side-car attached. The car was owned by Mr Harvey Patterson. It was driven by a chauffeur, and carried several passengers. The impact was a fairly severe one, but the only person injured was the chauffeur, who, unfortunately, sustained a broken collarbone and a severe cut on his hand.
The chauffeur was taken to his home, and the other members of the party got a lift from a friendly motorist, who happened to pass shortly after the accident.
