j A meeting of the management comj mittee of the Canterbury Hockey Association last evening was presided over | by Mr W. E. Rogers, i The committee received with regret j Mr T. Booth's resignation, and appointed Mr P. M. Velvin to the executive. It was decided that the cup which the disbanded Drapers' Club desires to present to the association should be allotted as a trophy for the winning
team in the senior section, of the annual five a-side tourney. The cup must bo. won three times in succession before any club can make it its own property. With regard to the New Zealand Hockey Shield, the Auckland Association will be asked to supply a list of its shield fixtures, so that the date of the match with Canterbury can be ascertained. Letters were received from the Wharenui and Rangiora Clubs, withdrawing from the association's competitions. The committee decided that on this occasion it would accept all registrations up to the time of the meeting, tut in future it would adhere strictly to the rule regarding seven days' notice. It was decided that entries for the annual five a-side tourney should close on Tuesday, May 19. Mr J. Burgess was appointed supervisor, with Messrs Rogers and Jones to assist them in. .settling any disputes that may arise or in arranging details-
