WEDDING.
The Kaiapoi Methodist Church was crowded to witness the wadding of Miss Annie Adah Wright, daughter of Mr and Mrs James Wright, of Courts' Island, with Mr Harold Henoy, of Rangiora. Both families, it may be stated, were amongst tho earliest settlers in the district. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked beautiful in a dress of white empire satin, with wreath of orange blossoms and long tulle veil. She completed her toilet with a lovely shower bouquet. The maids of honour were Misses M'Gregor and E. Taylor, who wore pink satin, and blaek hats with pink wings. The diamond ear-rings which they wore on the occasion were* gifts from the bridegroom. They carried bouquets of autumn leaves and flowers. Mr Hill acted as best man, and Mr Stanley Wright as groomsman. Rev. J F. Martin, of Ohoka, officiated, and Mr J. H. Blackwell presided at the organ. A reception- was afterwards held at the residence of the bride's parents, at which fully 250 guests attended. A number of congratulatory speeches were made, testifying to the esteem in which both families are held in the district. Mr and Mrs Heney subsequently left for then- honeymoon, the bride travelling in a smart gray tweed costume, hat en suite. A dance was held in the evening for the young friends of the bride and bridegroom:
