OPPOSITION LEADER.

SPEAKS IN CHRISTCHURCH. ON MONDAY. Sir Joseph Ward, Leader of the .Opposition, will speak in the Choral Hall on Monday evening next. Sir Joseph will give the address under the auspices of the Progressive Liberal and Labour Association. The secretary of the association (Mr C. J-I. GiJby) informed a SUN representative that he had endeavoured to secure a larger building for the meeting, commencing with King Edward Barracks, but he had been unable to do so. The building will seat 860, but there would be standing room for another 400. He regretted" that no larger hall was available, as he was sure that there would be at least 3000 or 4000 people who would like to hear the Leader of the Opposition.
