SWIMMING.
CHRISTCHURCH LADIES' CLUE. To-night, at the Tepid Baths, the Gliristchurch Ladies' Amateur Swimming and Life Saving Club are holding .a competition, with the object of determining the elub champion for the ensuing year. The competition will consist of the following items:— Life-saving (three methods). Object Diving. 100 yds Swimming Race (no handicap). Diving from three heights. Points will be given the competitors for each event, and the one gaining the most points will be the winner and the holder of the Championship Cup, which was presented to the club by the president, Mrs A. Boyle. The cup will remain the property of the clubhand after it has been engraved with name and date will be presented to the winner, by whom it will be retained until the following year, when it will be competed for again. Mr Billson will judge the competition to-night.
