LADIES' HOCKEY. SECONDARY SCHOOLS' COMPETITION. The secondary schools' competition of the Canterbury Ladies' Hockey Association opened yesterday, the results being' as follow: GRADE A. Technical College 5 beat Digby's nil, West Christchitrch 1 beat Girls' High School nil. GRADE B. Technical College 3 beat Girls' High School B nil, Girls' High School A 1 beat West Cliristchurch B nil. A SCHOOL MATCH. In a match played on the polo grounds between the Normal D.H. School and West Christehurch D.II. School, the former defeated the latter by 2 goals to 1. Townsend scored both goals for the winners. Mr W. M. Burrows refereed.
