FOR THE CHILDREN.
OPEN AIR HOME FUND. The following circular letter has been sent out by the Provisional Committee of the Open-air Home for Children Fund:—•
Dear sir, —You have doubtless heard of the movement which is being inaugurated in Christchurch to provide an Open-air Home for Children, who are delicate, and have been contacts of tuberculosis patients. "With this laudable object in view, a Provisional Committee has been set up, and it is the intention to ask the Mayor to call a meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 4914, of citizens willing to assist. The work of the Home will be preventive work, a needed and right accompaniment of the facilities for treatment which obtain in Canterbury.
Surely tlic work is good if we only save little ones from suffering; but that the effect will be more far reaching than that is self-evident. "Will you attend and help? Yours faithfully, A. S. ROCIIFORT, Hon. Secretary.
