Mr justified the disendowment of the Welsh Church because the ancient endowment had been given to the Church at a time when the Church and State'were co-extensive entities.
Mr i}.a£lfbur protested that the Bill robbed' and the Church.
Mr Bonar Law said that one of the first acts, of the next Ilnionist Government would be to restore the funds of which th f e Welsh Church would be despoiled by the Bill.
