WEDDING.

M 'EAE—RUSSELL. A very smart wedding was 'celebrated in St. Matthew's St. Albans, yestertfay, when Mr George Richmond M'Rae, of Island Hills, Balmoral, was married to Miss Kathleen Russell, daughter of Mr J. Russell, St. , Albans, Christchurch. The church was I decorated for the occasion by the girl friends of the bride, and' the Rev. Percy Haggitt was the officiating clergyman. The ceremony was fully choral, Mr J. Holmes Runnieles presiding at the organ. During the ceremony the choir rendered the hymn "0 Perfect Love," and at the conclusion the bridal party and guests i left the church to the, strains of the Wedding March from Lohengrin. The tall, graceful bride, who was given away by her father, wore a lovely gown of white duchesse mousseline, the swathed bodice outlined with - ism all pearls, soft lace chemisette with spray of orange blossoms on corsage, Irdain skirt, and long court train, fastened in surplice fashion on each shoulder and caught down with pearl cahouchons. The train was lined with shell-pink silk and finished with a spray of orange blossoms in the corner. Her long veil of embroidered tulle A\as worn over a coronet of orange blossoms and buds, and she carried a lovely shower bouquet of white hothouse flowers and roses veiled in maidenhair fern. Her only ornament was a costly diamond pendant, with pearlshaped emerald drop, and necklet, gifts from the bridegroom, who was attended by Mr Gordon Fuller as best man. The chief bridesmaid, Miss Nora Russell, wore a beautiful frock of torquoise blue crepe de chine, made in the newest style with short tunic in pannier effect finished with ruchings of the same material, wide swathed belt of torquoise blue satin, and little coatee opening over lace vest, cluster of pale

pink roses at waist, mob cap of .tor* quoise satin, with pink rosebuds. She wore a silver and enamel wristlet wateh, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried an exquisite bouquet of blended tones of blue and pink, interspersed with autumn leaves. Two little brides-' maids, Miss Mona M'Eae (neice of the! bridegroom) and Miss Mary Crawford, wore dainty little frocks of white pinspot muslin, with blue and pink sashes : respectively, and mob caps trimmed in corresponding colours. Their gifts were | gold brooches, set with aquamarines and; pink, tourmalines respectively. A little; page, dressed in cream (Master John; Templar) accompanied the small 'girls.!

After the wedding a reception wasi held in St. Matthew's Schoolroom, and \ later on the newly-wedded couple left! by motor *>n their honeymoon tour,! which will'be spent in'the'south.. The; bride travelled in a smart costume of; rough serge in dark navy, navy velour! hat with tangerine crown, and ,squirrel \ furs. , ;

Some ,pretty and stylish frocks werei worn on the occasion, amongst them! being Mrs Russell (mother of the! bride), in a pale grey velour costume,j collar of ivory tulle, soft lacei vest, small hat of black, tulle with! touches of purple; Miss Millie Russell,; pretty gown of brue J grey -merviilieuxl shot with gold, corslet bodice of plati-l num lace with threads of gold, the! dress being .partially veiled in nattier-j blue ninon edged with platinum lace,; hat of golden brown chiffon velvet; with aeroplane bow lined with tanger r ine; Mrs Templar (sister of bride, from Dunedin), ivory crepe meteore brocaded with pink rosebuds, worn over a pink silk slip, folded sash of cerise silk, pearl-grey hat trimmed with purple and cerise; Mrs Campbell (aunt of bride), grey face-cloth costume, black'"tulle hat trimmed with plumes and touches of red; Miss V. M 3 Rae, Liberty costume in soft pastel shade of brown, nattier-blue facings and sash, hat to match; Miss M'Eae, silver-grey silk, with purple .sash, purple panne velvet hat with plumes; Miss Belle M'Eae, black and white coat and skirt, iblack velvet toque with upright bow j lined with white; Miss Rhoda M'Eae, i brown costume, small hat of grey and ' 'pink; Mrs J. Dampier Crossley (sister of the bridegroom), black satin-cloth coat and skirt, black tulle hat with clusters of violets; Mrs • F.
