TENNIS.

OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIP.

a Press Association. DUNEDIN, March 16

In the semi-final for the Tennis Singles Championship yesterday afternoon, W. Pearse heat R. S. Brown, 7-5 6-0. Brown led in the first set at 5-3, but Pearse, by brilliant play, took the next four games in the set. In the second set Pearse took the lead from the start, and, though he won 6-0, some of the games were strenuously contested. Pearse's driving and volleying was brilliant. Brown played pluckily against the superior play and hard hitting of his opponent. Pearse and Jennings meet in the final on Saturday.
