KAIAPOI EASTER CARNIVAL.

The Kaiapoi Cycling Club's annual carnival, which takes place in the Kaiapoi Park on Monday, has attracted large and representative entries. Woodchopping and sawing (29 entries), cycling (76), athletic (80). The entries include some of the best competitors from all parts of the Dominion. Six teams will contest the pursuit race. The doings of the wood-choppers will no doubt prove as strong an attraction as on previous occasionn. There are thirty-three events on the programme, the first starting at 12.15. A "special train will leave Christchurch for the carnival at 10.20 a.m. In the evening a grand dance and picture show will be held. Taken altogether, the arrangements for the entertainment of the public are justly entitled to the term of "Carnival," and reflect great credit on the energy and enterprise of the promotors.
