COMMERCIAL GROWTH OF GOOD IDEA. Two years ago was born the idea that mothers irTthoh' homes could add the water and sweetening 7iocossary in their family cough and cold remedy, -just as easily as it. could be done by the chemist to whom the idea occurred. It would effect a large saving in family cough mixture expenses. 'Firman his belief that mothers and fathers would appreciate the plan, the idea was at. once made practicable, and Menu's .Essence the result.
Today, Mean's .Essence is used in many thousands of homes throughout New Zealand. Its fume has spread to Australia where, in Sydney, a factory has been established for the supplying of Australian demands. Many hundreds of letters have been received by the proprietor expressing appreciation of the medicinal value and money-sav-ing ■ qualities of his now fiimous preparation. The good news of how one bottle of I lean's Essence makes a pint of iinest family, cough, cold and sore throat remedy, and saves at least nine shillings, has qui'ddy spread from home to home, and town to town. Yet this is not surprising, when it is realised that a pint represents about eight ordinary eighteenpenny bottles. Full, yet simple, directions for adding the water and sweetening accompany each bottle, and a spare label is enclosed. llcan's essence is now regularly sold by most chemists and grocers, or sent to any address, post free on receipt of price—~/-, —from the Proprietor, (».
