LETTER THIEVES.

During the prosecution of. a bookmaker's clerk for receiving a letter containing a cheque addressed to another person, counsel for the Post Office authorities. stated that the prisoner was believed to be associated with a gang of letter thieves in the Post Office who stole letters containing money orders, eashed them, and used them for their own purpose*.
