A WOMAN'S DEATH.
SORDID STORY. The police received information today that a woman named Hendolina Heapy, living at West Oxford, died at 7 o'clock this morning under circumstances which they consider appear to call for some enquiry. It seems that Dr Bagley was called in on "Wednesday night by a man named ,1. TJrick, with whom the woman was living. She was then in a dying state. She was in a very dirty condition, and there were blood stains on her clothing. There were large bruises on her face and jaw, her tongue was bitten through, and her mouth was full of blood. The woman was quite insensible, and died at 7 o'clock this morning. She suffered from epilepsy. The doctor is of opinion that the bruises alone would not have caused death, but he was not prepared to give a certificate. An inquest will be held before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.
