White, Minister of Finance, stated that Canada had decided to refuse the offer'of the United States for an interchange of free wheat and flour. Despite the world-wide financial stringency, Canada's trade beat that of the previous year, which was a record. The exports reached over £80,000,000, and the im'ports amounted to almost £100,000,000 for the eleven months; just ended.
