CITY AND SUBURBAN. At a general meeting of the association held last night it was decided that owing to not having the necessary grounds, and the lateness of the season, it was advisable to bring the competitions to a close. The following is the result of the season's competitions:—Senior—A section, Sydenham Hockey Club 23, Isling-ton-Hornby 23, Linwood Wanderers 18, Glenmore 11, Sumner 6. B section — Druids 12, Waimairi 10, Y.M.C.A. 9, Bailway 3. It was also decided that the two leading teams in the A section (Sydenham Hockey Club and IslingtonHornby) and the winners of the B section (Druids) should be engraved together 911 the association's shield. Other winners:—Junior section—St Albans; Presidents, Edgeware; VicePresidents, St Peter's. This brings the competitions to a closie.
