ONE DAY A WEEK.

FOR HOTEL WORKERS. Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 3. The Arbitration Court has ruled that the Shops and Offices Act is mandatory as regards one clear day off in each week for hotel workers, and Ms framed a new Wellington award accordingly. The same provision will apply to the Auckland hotel workers award, and no difference is to be made whether the hotel is large or small. The court suggests that extra expense can, and probably will be met by an increased tariff, or by the reorganisation of the staffs.
