SUMNER NOTES.

The annual meeting of the Sumner Life-boat Brigade is to be held in the boathouse on Tuesday, April 7, at 8 p.m.. The secretary desires to acknowledge with thanks the receipt of a donation of a sum of money found some time ago on the local beach by Mrs Hamish M'Lean, Mt. Hutt Station, Methven. The money was placed in the care of the town clerk, Mr Middleton, and as it has not been claimed Mrs M'Lean desired him to hand the amount to the Life-boat Brigade,
