The Railway Companies have appointed a committee to meet a mittee from the National Union of the railway men 's executive," to discuss employment conditions. Mr J. Hi Thomas, Labour member for Derby in the House of Commons, speaking at a meeting at Birmingham, said this-- was the first definite . recognition of _ the union's power and responsibility.
