M. CALMETTE S MURDER.

EVIDENCE AT THE ENQUIRY.

By Cable. — Press Association. — Copyright , (Received March 25, 10 a.m.) PARIS, March 24.

At Madame Caillaux's enquiry, Princess Mesagne Estredere, a contributor to the "Figaro," gave evidence that when M. Caillaux heard from Madame Dupre that the three letters had been destroyed Madame Dupre had kept the photographs. When M. Calmette heard she had them he offered her 20,000 francs for the photographs, which offer she declined.

When the letter signed "Thy Jo" was published in the '' Figaro'' Madame was justified in supposing that the two others were in M. Calmette's possession.

M. Isidore de Lara, the well-known composer, and Madame Charteran, the printer's widow, confirmed the evidence of the Princess.
