One morning two celebrated art cities proceeded together to view the pictures in a certain gallery. On entering the ante-room they found themselves opposite to a number of very long lookingglasses. Turning before one of them, one critic remarked to the other: "You've come here to admire works of art. Very well, feast your eyes on that work of nature," pointing to his own figure reflected in the glass. "Lo«k at it! There's a picture for you I" "Yes," said the other, regarding it intently. "Very fine—very line indeed." Then, turning to his friend, "Wants hanging, though."
