RANGIORA.

At a special meeting of the Rangiora Borough. Council, an application for permission to erect a lean-to of wood inside the brick area was refused by six votes to three, and it was decided that the building must be of brick or concrete.

"Phillips, 33 at 16/5; H. Blaekitt, 37 lambs at 17/11; S. W. Merrin, 32 lambs at 19/9; Shepherd Bros., 97 lambs at 18/1; W. Eden, 70 lambs at 18/9; W. Pawelka, 23 ewes at 15/-; M. L. Philpot, 72 ewes at 15/6; J. W. Wright, 9 ewes at 16/1; E. H. Bailey, 62 lambs at 18/7; W. Fowelka, 50 lambs at 17/6; Smith Bros., 89 lambs at 17/6; J. Banks, 101 lambs at 18/2; A. L. Philpot, 124 lambs at 19/11. PIGS. One hundred and fifty pigs were yarded. There was rather a drop in prices. Baconers brought 58/- to 67/-; stores 35/- to 42/-; small pigs, 8/- to 16/-. CATTLE. Fat cows brought from £6 to £9, steers £6 15/- to £9 15/-, heifers £5 to £7, twoyear steers £5 15/-, store cows £2 to £4 10/-, calves £1 10/- to £1 15/-, springers and milk cows £5 to £B. STOEE SHEEP. Two-tooth ewes from 21/7 to 23/3, wethers from 13/7, ewe lambs from 16/6, forward rape lambs 15/6, aged ewes 11/- to 15/-. SKINS. Heavy crossbred 6/-, lighter 4/6, pelts 2/-, lamb skins 3/3, calf skins 3/6, hides 6d. WOOL, ETC. Fleece wool 7_d, crutchings 6d, horsehair 1/-, fat lfd. POULTEY. Young roosters 7/3 pair, hens 3/3, ducks 5/3. „ PEODUCE. Chickwheat 4/- bushel, oats 1/10, barley 2/9, beans 3/3, peas 3/3, grass seed 3/9, sharps 9/6 bag, pea meal 10/-, bran 5/9, potatoes 6/-, oatsheaf chaff 3/6, straw chaff 1/6, apples 2/6, pears 2/-, tomatoes 2d, peaches 3d, onions 6d string. _______________
