DIRTY MILKING MACHINES.
The manager of a Christehurch firm which handles a large milking machine agency business, has written to us as follows: —"A few days ago I read an article in THE SUN about dirty milking machines. I am satisfied that if there is one thing that is going to interfere with the sale and use of these, it is dirty machines. I have had dozens of rases brought under my notice where the owner of the machine really should have beon summoned for allowing his machine to get into such a filthy condition. A letter has just come in from one of our agents in the Wairarapa. He was asking some advice as to how to remedy the loss .of vacuum, and i.-i the course of his letter he stated: 'I took the two long red rubber tubes off and thoroughly cleaned them, as they were pretty well blocked up on the inside,' so it just shows you what some people let their milking machine tubes get like. I am getting him to go thrqugh all the tubes and teat cups. You cannot say too much about this point. The milking machine has been a great boon to dairy farmers and the country generally, and it would be a groat pity if anything is allowed to interfere with its use."
