CHRIST'S COLLEGE CADETS.
V UNDER CANVAS. ? The experiment which commenced yesterday in connection with the Christ's College Cadet Corps, which has been handed over to the defence authorities for a week of special training, is proving a success.
On arriving at the main entrance to the college grounds, one is accosted by * a sturdy cadet, who must first be satisfied as to the nature of the business to be transacted by the visitor. He wears on his right wrist a white badge bearing the letters M.P., which in this instance stand not for Member of Parliament, but for Military Police. The tents are pitched on the football ground. They are arranged in three lines across the field, a line for each of the three companies, with the officers' quarters and mess tent behind them. Behind the officers' tents again are the cook's quarters. In this department, judging by the general approval of the existing arrangements * expressed in '. various quarters, there is nothing to be desired. », .
