The Bank of New Zealand representatives made only 40 in their first innings, towards which Russell contributed 14, and Josling 12. Sandman took five wickets for 15 runs, and Eade five for 22. Other Banks started badly, Eade and Shelley falling to Bain without a run being scored, but Bradmore and Rowell made a long stand, carrying the scorp to 117 before Rowell was dismissed for a steady 27. The innings closed for 187, Bradmore contributing 90, Harrison 36, Monk 12. Bain took six wickets and Josling 4. The Bank of New Zealand representatives fared a little better in their second venture, putting on 124, Russell 31, Bruce 24, Josling 24, and Bain 12. Other Banks thus won by an innings and 23 rpns.
