Association of Canterbury Ltd., report holding the last sale of the series at the Alexandra Hall yesterday., There .was not the usual number of buyers' present, but as there were only 2128 bales offered the competition was quite sufficient to take the offering, and prices were very firm, at last sale rates, and, if anything,* crossbreds were slightly higher. J Considering the lateness of the season, the quality of the Wool was good, and we included in our catalogue several clips of exceedingly light, bright wools, competition for which was decidedly keen. Several of the -lots were seedy, and when these were offered there was a slackness in the bidding. Our most notable sales were ,as follow:—? • " "Ben Cruachan," Mr Thos. Stevenson(Spots wood) — Halfbred: 4 bales at 122 d (the top price of the sale), 16 bales at 12id. Pieces: 3 bales at lid, 3 bales at 10id, 5 bales at 9Jd. "The Brothers," Mr L. W.
