THRESHING COMBINE BURNED.
A combine belonging to Mr James Straehan, of Kaiapoi, while at work threshing peas on Mr W. Guy's farm, Fernside, was completely destroyed by fire at midday yesterday. The men employed with the plant were at dinner when the fire broke out, and the machine burned so rapidly, that nothing could be done to save.it. . , -4, . .'" ' ' '
