The German-American Commercial Union has protested to the Government against the imposition of the new war tax upon Americans who are residents in Germany. The law provides that all persons with an annual income of over £l5O shall pay an extra tax of one-half per cent. Several of the European Powers intend to jointly protest against the tax.
