AMBERLEY EWE FAIR.
v A RECORD SALE.
Although the entry at the Amberley annual ewe fair was not a record from a numerical standpoint, the sale must stand as the best yet held in the Amberley yards. About forty thousand sheep were yarded—the record for the yards is sixty thousand—and right throughout the sale the bidding was brisk, and there were very few pens turned out unsold. The demand for good r class breeding ewes was unsatisfied," and the prices that prevailed Avere much above anything that has ruled during the present season.
