SELECTING A CANDIDATE.

A meeting of the Reform League was held at Cust yesterday to. elect delegates to attend a meeting to select a candidate in the interests of the Reform Party for the Kaiapoi electorate. After discussion Messrs Fairweather, Callott, and F. Smith were elected. A meeting for the same purpose for the Rangiora district was held yesterday also, and Messrs Van Asch, C. Elliot, and J. Fooks were chosen. On Thursday night a similar meeting will be held at* Eyreton, and on Friday night at Oxford.
