WEST COAST MINERS.

A HOPEFUL OUTLOOK. Prett Atiodation. GBEYMOUTH, March 2. The Blackball miners' trouble was considered by the Conciliation Commissioner (Mr P. Hally) on Friday and Saturday. It is understood that a satisfactory agreement was arrived at. The Council is now awaiting the decision of the Company and the Miners' Union in order to have the matter sent to the Court for ratification. The State Mines dispute will be taken to-morrow. It is anticipated that within a week or two the whole coal mining industry will be fixed up, so far as labour conditions are concerned, for a longer period than has been customary on the West Coast for many years past.
