ANNUAL MEETING. b >- -—— L " The thirty-second annual meeting of n the Canterbury<Caledonian Society was ( held last evening, the president (Mr John Connal) presiding over an attendance of about 20 members. An e apology for unavoidable absence was 8 received from his Honour, Mr Justice } ~ Denniston. The balance-sheet showed that, bell ginning with a deficiency of £IS 15/11, the financial year had ended with a debit balance on the year's working ' of £2 4/11, the receipts having totalled ~ £373 7/11 and the total expenses £375 g 12/10. The balance-sheet and annual n report, which has already been publm lished, were, adopted on the president's motion. The following office-bearers were elected: —Patron: His Excellency the * Governor; president: Mr John Connal; vice-presidents: His Honour Mr Justice Denniston, Messrs James Faith, A. S. Neil, and Dr Thomas; directors: i Messrs C. Bell, J. A. Boswell, Wm. " Edginton, Wm. Fraser, J. Graham, B. , j Mwre, R. E. Nightingale, E. H. Rankin, G. Ritchie, George Sey, E. Clark, J. Martin, J. Robertson, A. B. Tench, and J. D. M'lntyre; hon. auditor: Mr e J. Mawson Stewart; hon. treasurer: Mr Leon Sey; secretary: Mr C. J. Marshall.
