PANAMA EXPOSIISON.
NEW ZEALAND EEPRESENTATIQN. At .yesterday's meeting. pf the 'North .Castfirbury Farmers' Union a letter was received from the Secretary of j Agriculture (Mr P. S. Pope) stating that the Government had arranged lor an . exhibit of New Zealand products and manufactures at the Panama Exposition, to be held at Ban Francisco next year. . ! . The Prime Minister (the.letter aisled) considered that in''view of the alterations in the United States tariff the exposition, would be a most A T aluable advertising medium for the Dominion. Details of the arrangements made were given, and the co-operation of the union requested. It was stated that the various countries would not have separate pavilions, as is the usual custom, but products would be placed side by side with similar products from other countries, so as to allow of easy comparison. At the same time, the Government was making a comprehensive exhibit under one roof' of New Zealand products and manufactures; The president expressed the hope' that members of the union would assist the Government. The farmers had a year to get together a collection, of tfieir -best produce. The matter was one of considerable importance, and farmers; should not lose the opportunity of ;uioh an excellent advertisement. The letter was received.
