RATES REDUCED. By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright. (Received February 21, 10.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, February 21. Arrangements have been completed between the Amalgamated Wireless Co. of Australasia, Limited, and the Post-mastoi-General, reducing the rates for wireless messages exchanged between the Australian coast stations and ships at seu. This applies to ships registered in Australia and New Zealand, and trading exclusively to Australian ports. The arrangement will operate from May 1. The present rates are lOd per word, of which 4d went to the ship and 6d to the coast stations. The new rate will be sd, of which the ship will take 2d and the coast station 3d, plus the level land line charge of Id per word.
