CYCLING.

DUNLOP RELAY TEST. The Dunlop relay test, cyclists v. time, which is in progress in various parts of Australasia —at was opened' on August 1 last and is to be finished by April 30 of this y6av —is an unpaced effort by club teams of 30 riders to better a limit of five hours for a relay ride of 100 miles. A sum of over £2lO (trophies-or cash) will be awarded by the JDunlop Rubber Company to the three teams who record fastest performances, and medallions will ,be given to all teams which cover* the hundred miles in or under five hours. The Kaiapoi Cycling Club's team in this test will make its effort on March 7, starting at 1.30.p.m. sharp. The course selected is.a'.five-mile stretch of, road between, the Tawamanoa and Horrelville railway stations., The course is well sheltered froruihe prevailing winds, and the road is considered the best obtainable in Northk Canterbury, and carries very little traffic. It is anticipated by good judges that the Kaiapoi team will establish record for the distance ride. , The haiklieapper,. Mr J. A. Mealings, will make his final selection of the team, at an early date.. .
