R. Stewart, •who left the vessel on Saturday. Messrs A. M'Master and A. Sadler, chief and third engineers respectively of the Union Com-, pany's Kauri, have left that vessel, and their places have been taken by Mr D. Young as chief and Mr I. Rutter as third. It is reported that Mr F. A. 0. Hislop, second officer of the Waihora, and' Mr Siepen, second officer of the Aparima, have exchanged positions. Mr L. W. Bell, third officer of the Union Company's Kini, has been" transferred to the Waipori, where he will fill a similar position. Captain J. Teixeira has taken command of the coastal steamer Kanieri, relieving Captain T. Meyers, who has come ashore on holiday leiave. Captain T. The steam 3rs are now provided with a "lounge room" tastefully decorated, _ and an enlargement of Iho first saloon sitting room and library has also been made, adding to the general comfort of the ipassengers.
