CLAY BIRD SHOOTING
AUCKLAND GUN CLUB Conditions were poor for the Auckland Gun Club’s shoot on Wednesday, and there was only a fair attendance of marksmen. The first 10-bird match was • won outright by E. J. Schofield (14yds), with tlio possible. F. Kay-Stratton (14yds), and J. Alilne (11yds), divided second and third money with nine. Tho chief match for Air. L. F. Ramsay’s trophy resulted in a tie between the donor, Air. Ramsay (16yds) and L. Peterson (14yds), both shooting the possible of 15. Mr. Ramsay was not competing for the trophy, which went to Mr. Peterson. A ten-bird match was divided by A. E. Macredie (16yds) and I. Lomas (11 yds), with the possible. The final match, all off 15 yards, was divided by L. F. Ramsay and L. Peterson. The club will send a team to compete for the Roicl Cup at Morrirj.sville next Saturday. The next shoot will be held on Saturday week, when Air. E. P. Alitchulson’s trophies will be competed for.
