Her husband’s best friend is the first lover she encounters to make good her threats. Ted, the husband, is confronted by his wife’s frank confession. Appalled, ho casts her aside. Embittered, she pledges henceforth to tread the primrose path. A divorce follows, and she makes good her vow, losing all sight of Ted in ttye wild escapades that follow. In the meanwhile, Paul, a former sweetheart, tells Jerry of his own unhappy marriage, and bogs her to wait until he is divorced so they may marry. Sho agrees, but learns how much he means to his invalid wife. Instead of carrying out her pact, she sends Paul back to his wife. It then is revealed to her that her former husband is leading a riotous life abroad. All of the old affection comes back to her. She may not need Ted but Ted needs her, whether he will have her or not. She goes to him in Paris. There is a dramatic scene in which he realises his responsibility for her straying from conventional propriety. 33oth have erred and repented—but not too late, for they are to try again.
