SATURDAY’S REFEREES AND GAMES AFFILIATION OF KAIPARA 1 ' With the end of the season approaching there was little business to occupy the attention of the Rugby Union Management Committee, which met last evening, Mr. H. Frost presiding. To ensure Auckland representation at the Otago Rugby Union Jubilee celebrations, it was resolved to ask Dr. 11. Harty, an old Auckland player now living in Dunedin, to act for the union. A request from the Kaipara Union for affiliation as a sub-union was acceded to on condition that the North j Auckland Union offered no objection. ! The Auckland Union’s territory would I then extend to the southern boundary of tiie Rodney Union. The Judicial Committee’s decision j that S. Souter, who was ordered off ! in the College Rifles v. Grafton game j at Eden Park on Saturday, be stood •; down for one playing Saturday, was ! confirmed. A donation of £ 5 5s was made to! the Auckland Returned Soldiers’ Asso- j ciation following an appeal from the association in regard to money lost over the purchase af tickets for the third Ttst match in Auckland. The Junior Management Hoard advised that the Technical Old Boys’ fourth grade team would travel to Pukekohe on Saturday with Mr. Grant as manager. The third intermediate representative team travels to Hamilton with Mr. Williams as manager. Permission was given the Otahuhu Club to send a team to Helensville on Saturday with Mr. F.
