FAREWELL TO VICAR
j FUNCTION AT OTAHUHU A public farewell was given to the j Rev. C. B. W. Seton, vicar of the Otahuhu Anglican Church, in the parish hall last evening. Mr. Seton is leaving New Zealand by the Rangitiki to spend six months’ leave abroad. He will stay in England with his mother Lor a few weeks and a. some time with h.s brother i:i F.destine. Mr. R. B. Todd, J.P., who presided, spoke of the exce u Seton, and Canon H. K. Arclidall, of King’s College, the Re/, n. a,. , ...infield, of Devonport, and Mr.. C. B. Pearsou also addressed the large number of people present. A wallet and d cheque were presented to Mr. Seton by Mr. G. W. Beil, people’s warden, a gold life member’s j badge was given by Mr. H. Fearnly, vice-president of the O' - turned Soldiers’ Association, a travelling rug by Mr. Ti . r\ .... . of the Social Club, a leather cm:.1:0:1 ay Mr. Norris, on behalf of the Mange re East branch of the church, and a shav- ; ing outfit, by Ivan Handford, repre- | sent ing the Rover Scouts. During the absence of Mr. Seton, [ the Rev. H, H. Bedford will officiate.
