BOY FROM OVERTURNED SAILING BOAT SEARCH ON EAST COAST Although a further search was made by both the Cutty Sark and the Fairey TII.F seaplane, and again this morning by the Takapuna police, no traces were found of Terence Ernest Redding, aged IS, who was capsized from a 14foot sailing boat in the Rangitoto Channel on Friday. Yesterday afternoon, the Fairey made a search from 3.30 to 5 p.m. back and forth across the Channel, crossing right over to Motutapu and passing up the coast of the mainland toward Campbell’s Bay. Today, the police searched along the rocks from Milford to Brown’s Bay, b»t no signs of the missing boy were seen. A report had been received regarding an object floating oft’ Takapuna Beach, but nothing was found.
